The Minister of Industry Visits BDI Jakarta SIGNATURE 2020 Event
Synergy and institutional strengthening are needed in optimizing the role of business incubators to create entrepreneurs in the textile and textile products sector. For this reason, the collaboration of various parties with various potentials is expected to produce more and more startups, especially in the textile and textile products sector.
That is one of the things that became the goals of the “BDI Jakarta Signature 2020” activity held by the Jakarta Industrial Training Center. The "Jakarta Signature 2020" activity was attended by the Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita and his staff. This activity was also attended by textile industry partners, associations and tenants from the BDI Jakarta business incubator who will present the business model that has been prepared in the co-working space of each tenant.
“The synergy of various parties must be carried out immediately so that there is an increase in the role of business incubators in general. This also further expands performance to facilitate tenants or incubation participants so that they can develop properly. This business incubator program is also in line with the principles of the Job Creation Law which encourages the birth of entrepreneurs to drive the economy in the country, "said Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita.
Responsible Agency for BDI Jakarta Business Incubator, Ministry of Industry Bagas Nur Wibowo said that strengthening business incubator institutions must also be carried out. Institutions are very important so that the performance of business incubators can serve and meet the demands of incubation participants. "Strong institutions internally encourage business incubators to be more flexible in carrying out their roles," said Wiwo.
Wiwo added that the existence of a business incubator is also legally supported by Presidential Regulation (Perpres) 27/2013 on Entrepreneurial Incubator Development. For this reason, the implementation of the Presidential Decree can be followed up by the central government, local governments, the private sector and universities.
Head of the Industrial Human Resources Development Agency, Eko SA Cahyanto, in his remarks hoped that this activity could help accelerate the growth of new entrepreneurs in the textile and textile product sector. Likewise, the implementation of synergy between academia, business world, government and the community can be optimized.
On another occasion, the Head of BDI Jakarta Hendro Kuswanto said that the existence of business incubators within the scope of the government is not rigid so that it can foster space and potential that can be developed. Currently BDI Jakarta has 5 business incubator tenants, Sablon Bogor (Bogor), Pinion (Bandung), Batik Nafisa (Sumedang), Kivvari (Bandung) and Anwar Panjahitan (Jakarta)
